Homages Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight following the shocking loss of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he finally felt able to express about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has passed that I can now express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, noting that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the film, adding that he cannot recall "a single day without joy".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob held dear. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a distinct tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to block the disclosure of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the LAPD.

A court order put a security hold on the cases to prohibit the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of foul play, with a record citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

After the killings, public individuals expressed varying reactions.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making controversial statements that were broadly criticized by numerous public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his voice to the detractors recently. Speaking on his podcast, Rogan characterized the statements as "shocking" and remarked they demonstrated a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an associate should have acted when the impulse to weigh in on the passing was made.
