Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
An aircraft carrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The plane landed based on standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer commented in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels at the time.
This occurrence isn't the first time that a American defense plane carrying a top government figure has suffered mechanical issues.
Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical fault.
