Two men have been charged related to a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be irritant spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.

This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their luggage taken after getting out of a parking garage elevator, police said.

A young child was among those injured in the event. Several persons went to hospital for treatment and were eventually allowed to go home.

This event – which authorities stated was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
